El Chilar Canela Molida recall

Recalled by EL Chilar-HF, LLC · Apopka, FL, United States

Class II — Moderate risk. May cause temporary or reversible harm; serious harm unlikely.

Why it was recalled

Due to elevated levels of lead. Sample collected by Maryland Department Of Health (MDDH) tested positive for high levels of lead in ground cinnamon.

Some of these cause harm only with repeated exposure (lead in spices, for example), others act within hours (histamine poisoning from spoiled fish). All chemical contamination recalls.
