Single Strength Apple Juice shipped in recall

Recalled by Valley Processing, Inc. · Sunnyside, WA, United States

Class II — Moderate risk. May cause temporary or reversible harm; serious harm unlikely.

Why it was recalled

The single strength apple juice is recalled because patulin was found at level greater than 50 ppb.

Some of these cause harm only with repeated exposure (lead in spices, for example), others act within hours (histamine poisoning from spoiled fish). All chemical contamination recalls.

FDA lists this recall as terminated: the company has finished removing the product, so it should no longer be on shelves - but it can still be in a freezer or pantry.
