Tuna King Tuna Saku 12 recall

Recalled by Northern Fisheries Ltd. · Little Compton, RI, United States

Class II — Moderate risk. May cause temporary or reversible harm; serious harm unlikely.

Why it was recalled

Firm is voluntarily recalling tuna medallions, 4 oz and 6 oz tuna steaks and Tuna Saku (products of Vietnam) due to potentially elevated levels of histamine

Some of these cause harm only with repeated exposure (lead in spices, for example), others act within hours (histamine poisoning from spoiled fish). All chemical contamination recalls.

FDA lists this recall as terminated: the company has finished removing the product, so it should no longer be on shelves - but it can still be in a freezer or pantry.
