Why it was recalled

Northstar Produce Inc. is recalling 98 cases of Granny Smith apples because a test performed on a sample of the apples indicated the presence of Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, and / or Enterohemorrhagic E. coli.

Listeria monocytogenes can grow even in the fridge and is especially dangerous in pregnancy.
