Why it was recalled
California Department of Food and Agriculture randomly sampled Sunny Shores Mann's snap peas and found them to contain 0.278 and 0.195 ppm of Carbendazim. Carbendazim is a pesticide that is not allowed in the US but is approved for use in the EU>
Some of these cause harm only with repeated exposure (lead in spices, for example), others act within hours (histamine poisoning from spoiled fish). All chemical contamination recalls.
