Annie's Homegrown Rising Crust Four Cheese Pizza recall

Recalled by Annie's Homegrown Inc · Berkeley, CA, United States

Class II — Moderate risk. May cause temporary or reversible harm; serious harm unlikely.

Why it was recalled

Annie's Homegrown was notified by their flour supplier that due to a faulty screen at the flour mill, there is the possibility of metal fragments in some of their pizza products. The USDA was also notified as some of the products fall under their jurisdiction.

Hard or sharp fragments can cut the mouth or throat, break teeth or cause choking. They usually come from equipment wear or packaging on the production line. All foreign material recalls.

Check the codes, then return or discard. Class II means eating it may cause temporary or reversible health problems. If your package matches the recalled codes, do not eat it - return it to the store or throw it away. FDA lists this recall as terminated: the company has finished removing the product, so it should no longer be on shelves - but it can still be in a freezer or pantry.
