Pacific Fusion Frozen Tuna Steak Wild Caught recall

Recalled by Thai Ocean Venture Co., Ltd. · Muang Phuket, N/A, Thailand

Class II — Moderate risk. May cause temporary or reversible harm; serious harm unlikely.

Why it was recalled

The firm initiated a recall as a result of a consumer complaint being received and samples collected by the FDA being found with high levels of histamine.

Some of these cause harm only with repeated exposure (lead in spices, for example), others act within hours (histamine poisoning from spoiled fish). All chemical contamination recalls.

FDA lists this recall as terminated: the company has finished removing the product, so it should no longer be on shelves - but it can still be in a freezer or pantry.
