Tuna Poke CO AAA 2cm recall

Recalled by Mical Seafood · Davie, FL, United States

Class II — Moderate risk. May cause temporary or reversible harm; serious harm unlikely.

Why it was recalled

Mical Seafood Inc received complaints from four of its customers reporting cases of scombroid food poisoning potentially associated with the firm's tuna products. The recall was expanded on 10/07/2019 to cover all lots of tuna products supplied by Truong Phu Xanh Co. Ltd with Packer Production Dates of 04/01/2019 to 05/31/2019.

Some of these cause harm only with repeated exposure (lead in spices, for example), others act within hours (histamine poisoning from spoiled fish). All chemical contamination recalls.

Check the codes, then return or discard. Class II means eating it may cause temporary or reversible health problems. If your package matches the recalled codes, do not eat it - return it to the store or throw it away. FDA lists this recall as terminated: the company has finished removing the product, so it should no longer be on shelves - but it can still be in a freezer or pantry.
