Why it was recalled

Western Nut is recalling certain lots of Roasted/Salted Inshell Peanuts due to unacceptable levels of Aflatoxin.

Some of these cause harm only with repeated exposure (lead in spices, for example), others act within hours (histamine poisoning from spoiled fish). All chemical contamination recalls.

Western Nut Salt Lake City Roasted and Salted Inshell Peanuts, 6 oz (170g). Packaged in OPP (oriented polypropylene) bags. Receive bulk roasted/salted inshell peanuts from US Foods in 25 lb lined cases. Manufactured by Hampton Farms, Portales, NM for Western Nut.
