12" homestyle pizza crusts packed 18 to a case recall

Recalled by Tomanetti Food Products Inc · Oakmont, PA, United States

Class II — Moderate risk. May cause temporary or reversible harm; serious harm unlikely.

Why it was recalled

After the firm received a consumer complaint, Tomanetti Food Products initiated a recall due to small pieces of flexible plastic found in 12-in. pizza shells.

Hard or sharp fragments can cut the mouth or throat, break teeth or cause choking. They usually come from equipment wear or packaging on the production line. All foreign material recalls.

Check the codes, then return or discard. Class II means eating it may cause temporary or reversible health problems. If your package matches the recalled codes, do not eat it - return it to the store or throw it away. FDA lists this recall as terminated: the company has finished removing the product, so it should no longer be on shelves - but it can still be in a freezer or pantry.
