Meijer Honey Vanilla Bourbon Pecans recall

Recalled by Meijer, Inc #816 - Grand River Packaging · Grandville, MI, United States

Class II — Moderate risk. May cause temporary or reversible harm; serious harm unlikely.

Why it was recalled

The firm initiated a voluntary recall of Meijer Honey Vanilla Bourbon Pecans, 8.5 oz., packed in a stand up pouch, due to mislabeling. The label declared cream, milk, and eggs, which were not part of the original formula. The label lacked the following ingredients: Spices, Artificial Flavors, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Dextrose, Worcestershire Sauce, Corn Syrup, Salt, Carmel Color, Sugar, Tamarind, Natural Flavor, Malic Acid, Olive Oil, Molasses Sucralose, Bourbon Whiskey, Sulfites & Celery Seeds.

A label that does not match the product can hide an ingredient someone must avoid, or show a wrong use-by date. All labeling errors recalls.

Check the codes, then return or discard. Class II means eating it may cause temporary or reversible health problems. If your package matches the recalled codes, do not eat it - return it to the store or throw it away. FDA lists this recall as terminated: the company has finished removing the product, so it should no longer be on shelves - but it can still be in a freezer or pantry.
