CLIF Bar Brand White Chocolate Macadamia CLIF Bar recall
Recalled by Clif Bar And Company · Emeryville, CA, United States
Class III — Low risk. Unlikely to cause harm, but violates FDA regulations.
Why it was recalled
The product contains undeclared Coconut in the ingredient statement. The Coconut Chocolate Chip bars were inadvertently placed in White Chocolate Macadamia CLIF Bar wrappers and these mislabeled bars were placed inside correctly labeled Coconut Chocolate Chip CLIF Bar boxes.
Undeclared allergen: Tree nuts
For someone with a food allergy the label is the only protection. An undeclared allergen can trigger a severe reaction even in a trace amount, which is why most of these recalls are Class I. All undeclared allergens recalls.

Low risk, but check. Class III means the product is unlikely to make anyone ill but breaks an FDA rule, often a labeling one. If your package matches, the store will normally refund it. The risk from an undeclared allergen is to people allergic to tree nuts; for anyone else the product is generally not a safety concern. FDA lists this recall as terminated: the company has finished removing the product, so it should no longer be on shelves - but it can still be in a freezer or pantry.
