Why it was recalled

Distributed oysters were harvested from waters in South Korea, from which products had been prepared, packed, or held under insanitary conditions or where it may have become contaminated with filth, or where it may have been rendered injurious to health.

These are failures of the safety steps that keep food safe - cooking, pasteurising, keeping cold, sealing - even when no contaminant has yet been found. All processing & sanitation problems recalls.
