Josie's Homestyle #1 Pralines recall

Recalled by Josie's Homestyle Pralines Etc. Inc. · Kenner, LA, United States

Class II — Moderate risk. May cause temporary or reversible harm; serious harm unlikely.

Why it was recalled

During an FDA inspection the firm was notified that the product was mislabeled due to the label indicating that the product contains cream when the firm actually uses evaporated milk and they fail to provide the sub ingredients for butter on the label.

A label that does not match the product can hide an ingredient someone must avoid, or show a wrong use-by date. All labeling errors recalls.

FDA lists this recall as terminated: the company has finished removing the product, so it should no longer be on shelves - but it can still be in a freezer or pantry.
