Deep Dish pre mix dough recall

Recalled by Blue Line Food Service Distribution · Farmington Hills, MI, United States

Class III — Low risk. Unlikely to cause harm, but violates FDA regulations.

Why it was recalled

Blue Line Distribution is voluntarily recalling certain pre-mix parbake dough mix products due to the possible presence of pieces of plastic pen, which have been found in certain batches of the pre-mix.

Hard or sharp fragments can cut the mouth or throat, break teeth or cause choking. They usually come from equipment wear or packaging on the production line. All foreign material recalls.

Low risk, but check. Class III means the product is unlikely to make anyone ill but breaks an FDA rule, often a labeling one. If your package matches, the store will normally refund it. FDA lists this recall as terminated: the company has finished removing the product, so it should no longer be on shelves - but it can still be in a freezer or pantry.
